According to the Simpson EZI Loader Clothes Dryer Instruction Manual, it is recommended to clean the lint filter after every load. Cleaning the lint filter regularly helps reduce drying times, saves energy, and avoids overheating. To clean the lint filter, open the door of the dryer and press the two pads together to remove the lint filter from the pocket. Open apart the lint filter and wipe or peel off the lint. Ensure the lint filter "clicks" when replacing it back into the pocket. Never operate your dryer without the lint filter, and do not allow lint to build up around your dryer. If the lint filter is torn or damaged, it must be replaced immediately to avoid potential fire hazards.
