To connect your TP-Link VX220 Wireless Modem Router to your internet service, please follow these steps:
1. Check the colored sticker on the box and plug in the cables according to the setup instructions that match your sticker.
2. Turn on your modem and wait for the modem lights to turn on.
3. Depending on your internet service type, follow the appropriate setup instructions:
- For Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC), refer to the guides provided by nbn for instructions on how to set up the nbn Connection Box.
- For Fibre to the Node (FTTN) or Fibre to the Building (FTTB), follow the setup instructions provided in the manual.
- For Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) or Fixed Wireless (FW), follow the setup instructions provided in the manual.
- For ADSL, follow the setup instructions provided in the manual.
4. Wait for the blue lights to illuminate on the front of the modem, indicating a successful connection.
5. Connect your devices:
- To connect wirelessly (Wi-Fi), find the Wi-Fi Name and Wi-Fi Password printed on the sticker on the back of the modem. Choose the Wi-Fi Name on your device, then enter the Wi-Fi Password when prompted.
- To connect with a cable, plug one end of the supplied Ethernet (yellow) cable into a yellow LAN port on the back of the modem and the other end into your device.
If you have selected an nbn home phone, follow these additional steps:
1. Connect the phone cable between the phone port (green) on the modem and your home phone.
2. Switch the modem off and then back on.
3. Once you see the blue phone light on the front of your modem, your phone service is active and ready to make calls.
If you encounter any problems, such as no internet connection or Wi-Fi not working, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure all cables are properly connected.
- Turn the modem off and back on again.
- Wait for the blue lights to come on and check if your internet connection is working.
- For Wi-Fi issues, check the lights on the front of the modem and press the "Wi-Fi" button on the top of the modem to ensure it is enabled.
- If the issue persists, try connecting again and ensure you are using the correct password printed on the back of the modem (remember, it is case sensitive).
If you need further assistance, refer to the contact options provided in your modem packaging.
