To descale your DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima coffee machine, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Lift and close the lever to eject any capsules in the used capsule container.
2. Empty the drip tray, used capsule container, cup support, and drop collector.
3. Fill the water tank with 100 ml of Nespresso descaling agent. Add water up to the Descaling mark on the water tank (~500 ml).
4. Take the descaling pipe situated at the back of the machine and plug the descaling pipe into the steam connector of the machine. Replace the water tank.
5. The machine will enter the descaling mode. The descaling alert will blink orange during the entire descaling process, and the flat white button will illuminate white.
6. Place a container with a minimum 1-liter capacity under both the coffee outlet and under the descaling pipe nozzle.
7. Press the (flat white) button. The descaling product will flow alternately through the coffee outlet, descaling pipe, and drip tray. The descaling cycle is complete when the water tank runs empty.
8. Empty the drip tray, used capsule container, cup support, and drop collector, rinse them out, and fill the water tank with fresh potable water up to the MAX level.
9. Press the (flat white) button again. The rinsing cycle will continue through the coffee outlet, descaling pipe, and drip tray until the water tank is empty.
10. Once the rinsing process is finished, the machine will switch off automatically.
11. Remove the descaling pipe with handles or knobs and store it. Empty the drip tray and used capsule container. Fill the water tank with fresh potable water.
12. Clean the machine using a damp cloth.
Note: If the descaling cycle is not completed correctly (e.g., no electricity, pipe disconnection, insufficient water in the tank), the machine will request to repeat the cycle from the beginning.
