To set up your ECHO Dot 5th Gen Smart Speaker with Alexa, follow these steps:
1. Download the Alexa app from your app store on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Log in with your existing Amazon account username and password, or create a new account if you don't have one.
3. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth capability is turned on and have your Wi-Fi password ready.
4. Plug in your ECHO Dot with Clock using the included power adaptor. A blue light ring will spin around the bottom of the device.
5. Wait for about a minute, and Alexa will instruct you to complete the setup in the app.
6. If you aren't prompted to set up your device after opening the Alexa app, tap the More icon (:=:) to add your device manually.
7. The app will guide you through the setup process, where you can set up calling and messaging, manage music, lists, settings, and news.
