To set up the CenturyLink Actiontec C2300A Modem for your home network, follow these steps:
1. Connect the modem to your computer or router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Plug the power adapter into the modem and connect it to a power outlet.
3. Wait for the modem to power on and establish a connection.
4. Open a web browser on your computer and enter the modem's IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the address bar.
5. You will be prompted to enter a username and password. By default, the username is "admin" and the password is "password". If these credentials do not work, consult the user manual for the correct login information.
6. Once logged in, you will be directed to the modem's configuration page. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your network, including selecting your preferred wireless network name (SSID) and password.
7. Save your settings and wait for the modem to apply the changes.
8. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer or router and connect to the modem's wireless network using the SSID and password you set up.
