To clean the Cuisinart CBK-100 Bread Maker, turn off the machine, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool. Wipe the housing and inside of the lid with a damp cloth. The lid can be removed for cleaning by opening it completely and pulling upward. Do not put the lid in the dishwasher.
To clean the baking pan, kneading paddle, measuring spoon, and measuring cup, wash them with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. They can also be cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher. If the kneading paddle is difficult to remove, soak it in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes to loosen it. Do not use metal utensils with the baking pan as they can damage the nonstick surface.
To clean the baking chamber, remove any bread crumbs by wiping them away with a slightly damp cloth or a clean pastry brush. Be careful not to bend the heating element when cleaning.
It is important to never immerse the unit in water or other liquid and to avoid using rough, abrasive materials or cleansers to clean any part of the unit.
