To activate your Assurance Wireless Coolpad Smart Phone, follow these steps:
1. Insert the battery: Find the notch on the back cover and gently lift it up to open. Insert the battery with the contacts end first and press it into place. Make sure all tabs are secured and there are no gaps.
2. Charge the battery: Plug the micro-USB connector into your phone's charger/accessory jack and plug the charging head into an electrical outlet. It is recommended to fully charge the battery, which may take up to three hours.
3. Recover your Account PIN: Dial 611 from your new phone and listen for your mobile number. Write it down. Then, call 1-855-336-8346 and follow the instructions to get your PIN. You'll need your new phone number, last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and date of birth. Write down your PIN and keep it in a safe place.
4. Power on and activate your phone: Press and hold the Power Button to turn on your phone. Allow hands-free activation to connect the phone to the network and check for updates. This process may take 5-10 minutes. If prompted, enter the PIN found at the top of your Approval Letter. Follow the on-screen activation instructions.
5. Complete setup screens: Once your service is activated, swipe up on the Home screen and press Gmail or Play Store to run Setup. Follow the prompts to complete the setup screens.
