Cleaning and disinfecting the humidifier on a regular basis is important for maintaining its performance. Here are the cleaning instructions:
1. Daily Maintenance:
- Turn off and unplug the humidifier from the outlet.
- Empty the water from the tank and base.
- Allow the tank and base to air dry.
- Leave the cap off the tank until ready for the next use.
2. Weekly Maintenance:
- Turn off and unplug the humidifier from the outlet.
- Empty the water from the tank and base.
- Fill the water tank halfway with warm water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
- Shake the tank vigorously and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Empty the tank and rinse it with plain water.
- Rinse warm water through the mist outlet channel.
- Fill the base with water, add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Empty the base and rinse it with plain water.
- Clean the nebulizer with a damp cloth or cotton swab after soaking.
- Allow the tank and base to air dry.
- Leave the cap off the tank until ready for the next use.
3. End-of-Season Maintenance & Storage:
- Turn off and unplug the humidifier from the outlet.
- Empty the water from the tank and base.
- Follow the instructions for weekly maintenance.
- Let all parts dry completely.
- Store the humidifier in a cool, dry place.
