To program your remote control for the Chamberlain B980 garage door opener, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the button on the remote control that you want to use to open and close the garage door.
2. Locate the "Learn" button on the garage door opener unit. It is usually located near the antenna wire or on the back panel of the unit.
3. Press and release the "Learn" button on the garage door opener unit. The opener will beep twice to indicate that it is ready to learn the code from the remote.
4. Within 30 seconds of pressing the "Learn" button, press the button on the remote control that you want to use to operate the garage door.
5. The opener will beep once or twice to confirm that it has learned the code from the remote. You can now release the button on the remote control.
Your remote control should now be programmed to open and close the garage door. Repeat these steps for any additional remote controls you want to program.
