In the Ford F-150 (1999-2003), there are two fuse boxes: the under hood fuse box and the body control module fuse box. Here are the steps to locate and access both fuse boxes:
1. Under Hood Fuse Box:
- Open the hood of your Ford F-150.
- Locate the fuse box on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the battery.
- Remove the cover of the fuse box by lifting the tabs or using a screwdriver to pry it open.
- Inside the fuse box, you will find a diagram that shows the location and rating of each fuse. Use this diagram to identify the fuse you need to check or replace.
2. Body Control Module Fuse Box:
- Sit in the driver's seat of your Ford F-150.
- Look for the fuse box panel on the lower part of the dashboard, on the driver's side.
- Open the fuse box panel by pulling it towards you or using a flathead screwdriver to pry it open.
- Inside the fuse box panel, you will find a diagram that shows the location and rating of each fuse. Use this diagram to identify the fuse you need to check or replace.
Remember to always disconnect the battery before servicing high-current fuses, and replace a fuse with one that has the specified amperage rating.
