To clean the THEREYE ER-IM03 Countertop Nugget Ice Maker, you can follow these steps:
1. Self-cleaning: It is recommended to carry out self-cleaning at least once a month. Fill the water reservoir up to the MAX line and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start the self-cleaning cycle. Once completed, unhook the drainpipe and lay it down on a sink.
2. Regular cleaning of reservoir and exterior: To remove any dirt or fibers, clean the reservoir once a week. Unplug the ice maker and take out the ice basket. Rinse the ice basket with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Wipe the reservoir using a soft cloth moistened with water. For the exterior, use a soft cloth dampened with soapy water and then dry with a soft cloth.
3. Removal of scale/mineral build-up: If there is scale or mineral build-up, follow these steps for deep cleaning. Fill the reservoir with water up to the MAX line. Add vinegar or citric acid descaling agent and set it aside for 12 hours or overnight. Hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start the self-cleaning cycle. Repeat this process up to 3 cleaning cycles. Drain the mixture and continue to run 3 cleaning cycles with fresh water for each rinse.
Remember not to clean the ice maker with solvents or chemicals.
