To connect the LG LP1417SHR air conditioner to WiFi, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your WiFi network is active and that you have the network name (SSID) and password available.
2. Press the "Settings" button on the control panel or remote to access the settings menu.
3. Use the up and down buttons to navigate to the "WiFi" option and press the "Select" button.
4. The air conditioner will search for available WiFi networks. Once the list of networks is displayed, use the up and down buttons to select your network and press the "Select" button.
5. If prompted, enter the password for your WiFi network using the number buttons on the control panel or remote. Use the arrow buttons to move between characters and press the "Select" button to confirm each character.
6. After entering the password, press the "Connect" button to establish the WiFi connection.
7. The air conditioner will attempt to connect to the WiFi network. Once the connection is successful, the display will show the WiFi icon.
8. You can now use the LG SmartThinQ app on your smartphone or tablet to control and monitor the air conditioner remotely.
