To reconnect your NETGEAR WiFi range extender to your home network, you have two options:
1. Reconnect via Ethernet:
- Connect your range extender to your computer using an Ethernet cable.
- Launch a web browser on your computer and enter http://mywifiext.net in the address bar.
- Press Enter or click Search to access the login page.
- Enter the username and password that you set up during the initial setup process.
- Click LOG IN.
- Go to Setup > Wireless Settings.
- Under Security Options, verify that the Password (Network Key) matches your router password. If it doesn't, change it to match your router password.
- Click Apply.
- Reconnect your WiFi devices to the extender.
2. Reconnect via WiFi:
- Push and hold the Factory Settings button on the side panel of the extender for 7 seconds to reset it.
- Open your computer or mobile device's WiFi menu and connect to the extender's default WiFi network, NETGEAR_EXT.
- Launch a web browser on your connected device and enter http://mywifiext.net in the address bar.
- Press Enter or click Search to access the login page.
- Enter the default username (admin) and password (password) for the extender.
- Click LOG IN.
- Follow the prompts to reconnect your extender to your home network. If your router uses WEP security, you'll need to enter its network name (SSID) and password when prompted.
- Reconnect your WiFi devices to the extender.
