To program your remote control to work with the LiftMaster 8500 garage door opener, follow these steps:
1. Locate the "learn" button on the back of the garage door opener unit.
2. Press and release the "learn" button. The indicator light on the unit will turn on.
3. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on your remote control that you want to program.
4. Continue holding the button until the garage door opener lights flash or you hear two clicks.
5. Release the button on the remote control.
Your remote control should now be programmed and ready to use with the LiftMaster 8500 garage door opener. If the remote control is still not working, make sure that the batteries are fresh and properly installed.
