Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the INTEX SF80110-2 SAND FILTER PUMP:
1. Choose a solid, level, and vibration-free base for the pump. Make sure it is protected from weather, moisture, flooding, and freezing temperatures.
2. Place the tank support base on the selected location.
3. Place the tank on the tank support base.
4. Connect the motor pre-filtering assembly unit to the tank support base. Make sure the pre-filter housing water inlet hose connection is facing towards the pool.
5. If your pool has dual suction outlets, connect the hose to the pool inlet/outlet connection with a large hose clamp. If you have an INTEX pool with 1-1/4” (32mm) connections/hoses, make sure the air jet valve is securely tightened onto the pool inlet air adaptor and facing up.
6. Lower the 6-way valve over the tank slowly, making sure the bypass pipe fits securely into the center pipe hub top opening.
7. Connect the sand filter interconnecting hose between the pump motor outlet and the 6-way valve inlet connection. Make sure to use the provided L-shape o-ring on both ends of the hose.
8. Install the strainer and plunger valve at the lower position of the pool outlet (marked "+") or at the upper position of the pool inlet (optional). Make sure to use the provided step washer and o-ring on the plunger valve.
9. Tighten the hose nuts securely on all connections.
10. Fill the tank with the recommended filtering media, such as No. 20 silica sand or glass sand. Make sure to follow the recommended quantity for your specific model.
11. Place the sand shield over the top of the center pipe and pour the sand into the tank at a slow rate. Fill the tank approximately halfway, remove the sand shield, and evenly distribute the sand inside the tank. Fill the tank with water to provide a cushioning effect when pouring in the remaining sand. Remove the sand shield and evenly spread and level out the sand by hand.
12. Wash away any sand around the top edge of the tank.
13. Turn on the pump and set the 6-way valve to the "FILTER" position. The system is now ready to filter the pool water.
14. Monitor the pressure gauge reading and backwash the filter media when necessary.
15. Follow the recommended operating time table for your pool size to ensure proper filtration.
