To jump start your vehicle using the TYPE S AC532781 Jump Starter and Power Bank, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Before you attempt to jump start your vehicle, ensure your vehicle is in Park. Unplug all USB charging cables. Ensure manual transmission vehicles are in Neutral with the Emergency Brake engaged.
2. Locate the vehicle battery and identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals. The positive terminal is usually marked with a plus sign (+) and is typically larger than the negative terminal.
3. Ensure the Jump Starter battery level is 50% or higher. Press the power button on the Jump Starter to turn it on and check the battery level on the LCD display.
4. Insert the gray end of the Jumper Cables into the Jumper Cables Port on the Jump Starter. The LCD Display will read: "Clamp cables to battery."
5. Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle battery. The positive terminal may be marked with a plus sign (+) and may have a red plastic cover.
6. Connect the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle battery. The negative terminal may be marked with a minus sign (-) and may have a black plastic cover.
7. Ensure the clamps are securely attached to the battery terminals. Check the LED status on the Polarity Circuit Protection Box. Proceed to the next step unless the LED is flashing red and beeping. Refer to the Polarity Protection Circuit Status chart in the manual for troubleshooting.
8. Once the clamps are properly connected, the LCD Display will read: "Ready, Start vehicle ignition." You have 45 seconds to start your vehicle before the Jump Starter shuts off to prevent reverse charging.
9. Start your vehicle's ignition. If the engine does not crank or cranks very slowly, wiggle the cable clamps on the vehicle battery to ensure they are making good contact. Wait 60 seconds before trying to jump start your vehicle again.
10. Once the engine starts, disconnect the cables from your vehicle within 30 seconds. Remove the red clamp first, then the black clamp. Unplug the gray end of the jumper cables from the Jump Starter to reset the cables.
11. Keep the engine running for 20 to 30 minutes or drive the car to recharge the vehicle battery.
Note: If the engine dies shortly after being jump started or as soon as the jumper cables are disconnected, it may indicate a problem with the vehicle's charging system. Please seek professional help from an auto mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue.
Please refer to the user manual for additional safety information and precautions.
