To set up your HP Envy 4500 printer for the first time, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the printer to a power source: Plug one end of the power cord into the back of the printer and the other end into a power outlet.
2. Install the ink cartridges: Open the ink cartridge access door located on the front of the printer. Wait for the carriage to move to the center of the printer. Remove the plastic tape from the new ink cartridges and insert them into their corresponding slots. Close the ink cartridge access door.
3. Load paper: Slide out the paper input tray located at the bottom of the printer. Adjust the paper width guides to fit the size of the paper you're using. Place a stack of paper into the tray and push it in until it stops.
4. Connect the printer to your computer or mobile device: You can connect the printer wirelessly using Wi-Fi or using a USB cable.
- Wi-Fi setup: Press the Wireless button on the printer's control panel. Select either Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) or Wireless Setup Wizard, depending on your network setup. Follow the prompts on the printer's display to enter your network name and password.
- USB setup: Connect one end of the USB cable to the printer and the other end to your computer. The necessary drivers will be automatically installed.
