To remove and replace the shelves in your Kenmore Coldspot 106 refrigerator, follow these steps:
1. Slide-out Shelves (on some models):
- To slide out the shelf, carefully pull the front of the shelf towards you.
- To slide in the shelf, push it back in until it stops.
2. Shelves and Shelf Frames:
- To remove a shelf/frame, tilt the front of the shelf up and lift it slightly to release it from the shelf supports.
- To replace a shelf/frame, guide the rear shelf hooks into the shelf supports and lower the front of the shelf until the rear hooks drop into place.
3. Flip-up Shelf (on some models):
- To raise the shelf, pull forward on the lever located at the bottom front of the shelf and lift until the shelf locks into the vertical position.
- To lower the shelf, lower it until it is latched securely in place.
4. Deli Drawer:
- To remove the deli drawer, slide it straight out to the stop. Lift the front and slide the drawer out completely.
- To replace the deli drawer, slide it back in past the stop.
5. Crisper and Convertible Vegetable/Meat Drawers:
- To remove a crisper or meat drawer, slide it straight out to the stop. Lift the front and slide the drawer out completely.
- To replace a crisper or meat drawer, slide it back in fully past the drawer stop.
6. Crisper or Vegetable/Meat Drawer Covers:
- To remove the crisper or meat drawer covers, remove the crisper and meat drawer. Press up in the center of the crisper glass insert until it rises above the plastic frame. Slide the glass insert forward to remove.
- Lift the crisper cover frame up and remove. Repeat the steps to remove the meat drawer cover.
- To replace the covers, place the back of the meat drawer cover frame into the supports on the side walls of the refrigerator and lower the front into place. Slide the rear of the glass insert into the cover frame and lower the front into place. Repeat the steps to replace the crisper cover.
