Threading the Singer SIMPLE 3223/3229 Sewing Machine is a simple process. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the handwheel towards you.
2. Turn off the power switch and unplug the machine for safety.
3. Take the thread spool and place it on the spool pin located at the top of the machine.
4. Pull out the thread guide from the top of the machine and pass the thread through it.
5. Take the thread and pass it from the back of the thread guide towards the front, then down and around the tension control dial.
6. Thread the thread through the thread take-up lever from right to left.
7. Bring the thread down and pass it through the thread guide located above the needle.
8. Thread the needle from front to back, leaving a tail of thread about 6 inches long.
9. Hold the thread tail and turn on the power switch.
10. Press the foot pedal or the start/stop button to start sewing.
