To set up the Graco Pack 'n Play Close 2 Baby Bassinet Playard, follow these steps:
1. Start by ensuring that you have all the necessary parts listed in the manual. If any parts are missing, contact Graco customer service for replacements.
2. Disconnect the straps holding the mattress around the playard and remove the mattress from around the playard.
3. Pull up on the side rails in the middle above the push button until all four sides are locked. Do not push the center down yet.
4. Check that the top rails have become rigid. If they are not, pull up again until they are rigid. If the top rails do not latch, lift the center of the floor higher.
5. Hold one end of the unit up and push the center of the floor down until it locks securely into place.
6. Always use the mattress pad with the soft side facing up.
