To properly use the LAZLE JPD-HA101 Blood Pressure Monitor, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Prepare the monitor: Insert the included 3 AA batteries into the battery compartment or connect the AC adapter to a power source. Make sure the monitor is turned off before proceeding.
2. Position yourself: Sit in a comfortable and relaxed position with your feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table or armrest, palm facing up, and make sure the cuff is at the same level as your heart.
3. Attach the cuff: Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, approximately one inch above the bend of your elbow. The bottom edge of the cuff should be about two to three centimeters above your elbow crease. Secure the cuff snugly but not too tight.
4. Start the measurement: Press the "Start" button on the monitor to begin the measurement. The cuff will automatically inflate and deflate while the monitor detects your blood pressure.
5. Read the results: Once the measurement is complete, the systolic and diastolic blood pressures, heart rate, user selection, date, and time will be displayed on the 5.5-inch LED screen. Take note of the readings for reference.
6. Store the readings: If you want to store the measurement, press the memory button to save it. The monitor can store up to 99 readings per user in its dual-user mode.
7. Remove the cuff: After recording the measurement, carefully remove the cuff from your arm.
8. Power off: To turn off the monitor, press and hold the "Start" button until the screen goes blank.
It is important to note that for accurate measurements, it is recommended to avoid eating, smoking, or exercising for at least 30 minutes before taking your blood pressure. Additionally, it is advisable to take multiple readings at different times of the day to establish a consistent pattern.
