To adjust the temperature on your Rheem Tankless Water Heater, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Use the remote control to set temperatures up to 120ºF. The remote control is factory set to 100ºF.
2. Test the current temperature with a cooking thermometer at different sinks and faucets to determine the desired temperature.
3. If you want to adjust the temperature higher than 120ºF, up to 140ºF, you will need to refer to your specific product manual for dip switch settings. Please note that dip switch settings should only be adjusted by a professionally trained person.
4. To adjust the temperature, remove the front cover of the water heater.
5. Locate DIP Switch #4, which is located at the top left-hand side of the PCB (printed circuit board).
6. Change the DIP Switch #4 setting to the "ON" position. Do not alter any other DIP Switch.
7. The LED on the PCB will start flashing, and the display of the Main Remote Control will also start flashing.
8. Press the "SW1" button on the left-hand side of the PCB for more than 1 second. The LED on the PCB will start illuminating continuously, and the display of the Main Remote Control will be on continuously.
9. Change the DIP Switch #4 setting back to the "OFF" position. Do not alter any other DIP Switch.
10. The LED on the PCB will stop illuminating, and the display of the Main Remote Control will turn off.
11. Attach the unit's front cover back in place.
12. Turn on the remote control, gas, and water shutoff valves.
13. Check and ensure the safe operation and performance of the water heater.
Please note that if the temperature rise is too much for the incoming water temperature, venting capacity, air supply, gas supply, or a combination of factors, the tankless water heater may shut off. It is recommended to consult a professional if you experience any issues or need further assistance.
