According to the user manual for the AIRCARE Pedestal Evaporative Humidifier, it is recommended to change the wick at the beginning of every season and after every 30 to 60 days of operation to maintain optimum performance. In hard water areas, more frequent replacement may be necessary to maintain the efficiency of the humidifier. The wick is an important component of the humidifier as it absorbs and evaporates water to add moisture to the air. To replace the wick, you will need to lift the chassis off the base, remove the wick and retainer assembly, and replace the old wick with a new one. Make sure to use the correct replacement wick specified for your model (1043(CN) for EP9 series). It is recommended to use AIRCARE or Essick Air brand replacement wicks to ensure the certified output of your humidifier.
