Cleaning and descaling your Ninja CFP300 Dual Brew Pro Specialty Coffee System is important to remove any mineral buildup and maintain the performance of the machine. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Fill the water reservoir with a descaling solution specifically formulated for coffeemaker cleaning. Make sure not to exceed the Full line on the reservoir. Alternatively, you can use white vinegar. Fill the reservoir to the Travel Mug line (16 oz.) with white vinegar, then fill the rest with water up to the Full line.
2. Press the CLEAN button on the control panel.
3. Press the START BREW button to confirm and start the cleaning cycle.
4. The clock display will show the remaining clean cycle time, which takes approximately 75 minutes. The brewer will deliver the cleaning solution in intervals to distribute it through the system.
5. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, the brewer will beep, and the clock display will show "End."
6. Empty the contents of the carafe and rinse it thoroughly.
7. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water up to the Full line.
8. Run a water-only cycle to flush the system. If cleaning the Grounds mode, run a Full Carafe Classic brew cycle. If cleaning the Pods mode, run a 12 oz. Classic brew. If cleaning the Hot Water mode, run a Full Carafe on BOIL.
9. After the water-only cycle is complete, discard the water and thoroughly clean the carafe and brew basket.
It is recommended to clean and descale your coffee system regularly, especially if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water can cause scale buildup, affecting the performance and flavor of your coffee.
