To connect the HOSAFE COM HX2PT1 Wireless PTZ Outdoor Security Camera to your home WiFi, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the camera and your phone are near the WiFi router, about 1 to 3 feet (30 to 100 cm) apart.
2. Connect the camera to the power supply.
3. Open the WLAN Setting page on your phone and look for a WiFi signal named "IPCAM-XXXXXX" (X is the ID number). Join this WiFi network using the default password: 01234567. Your phone is now connected to the camera's WiFi.
4. Open the Camhipro app and tap the "+" button. Select "IP camera" and then tap "Device in use" followed by "Search nearby devices". You should see the camera ID and IP address. Tap on the ID/IP and it will take you to the add device page.
5. Tap "Add to" at the bottom of the page to add the camera to Camhipro successfully. You can give a name to the camera or keep the default name. Tap "Confirm" to go to the camera list page.
6. Tap on the camera name to watch live video. It will remind you to change the admin password later, just tap "got it".
7. To connect the camera to your home WiFi, tap the setting icon on the top right corner while watching live video (or tap the setting icon in the camera list page). Then tap "Wireless Setting" and select "Get the wireless network around the device" (make sure the camera and phone are near the WiFi router).
8. Select your home WiFi (2.4GHz only, not 5GHz) and input the WiFi password. Tap "Apply" and wait for the camera to sound a short music indicating successful WiFi connection. The camera will turn off its AP WiFi signal, and your phone will connect to your home WiFi automatically.
9. Now you can access the camera worldwide as long as your phone has internet connection.
Note: If you don't have internet at home, you can still connect the camera to your phone and watch live video when you are near the camera. To access the camera worldwide, you need to connect it to your home WiFi.
