To clean the inside of your Maytag MVW4505MW top load washer, you can follow the recommended monthly cleaning procedure outlined in the owner's manual. Here are the steps:
1. Open the washer lid and remove any clothing or items.
2. Place an affresh® Washer Cleaner tablet in the bottom of the washer basket. Do not place the tablet in the detergent dispenser.
3. Close the washer lid.
4. Select the cycle recommended for cleaning the inside of the washer. If your model has a "Clean Washer" cycle, use that. If not, refer to the online Cycle Guide for the optimal cycle.
5. Press the Start button to start the cycle.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the lid open to allow for better ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. If you prefer an alternative to the affresh® Washer Cleaner tablet, you can use liquid chlorine bleach. Open the washer lid, remove any clothing or items, and add 1 cup (236 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. Close the lid and select the cycle recommended for cleaning the inside of the washer. Press the Start button to start the cycle. After the cycle is complete, run a Rinse & Spin cycle to rinse the cleaner from the washer.
