To set up your Verizon Fios G3100 Router, follow these steps:
1. Connect your cables: Connect the coax cable from the coax port on your router to a coax outlet. Connect the Ethernet cable from your router's WAN port to an Ethernet outlet. Connect the power cord to your router and plug it into an electrical outlet. Wait for the front light on the router to turn solid white.
2. Connect your devices: For wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable from any yellow LAN port on your router to your computer. For Wi-Fi connection, find the Wi-Fi name and password on the label on your router. On your device, choose your Wi-Fi name when it appears and enter the Wi-Fi password.
3. Complete activation: Open a web browser on your computer and follow the prompts to activate your router.
4. Configure your Fios Router: Open a web browser on the device connected to your Fios Router network and enter "mynetworksettings.com" or "https://192.168.1.1" in the address field. Log in using the password printed on the label on the rear of your router. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your Wi-Fi network name, password, and other settings.
5. Expand Wi-Fi coverage (optional): If you need to extend the Wi-Fi signal range, you can connect a Fios Extender to your Fios Router. Follow the instructions provided in the manual to set up the extender.
6. Connect other computers and network devices: You can connect other devices to your Fios Router using Ethernet cables or Wi-Fi. For Ethernet connection, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into a LAN port on the router and the other end into the device. For Wi-Fi connection, follow the same steps as in step 2.
