To connect the JBL Bar 5.1 to your TV, you have a few options depending on the available ports on your TV. Here are the steps for each connection method:
1. HDMI (ARC) Connection:
- Make sure your TV supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) and that it is enabled in the TV settings.
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other end to the HDMI OUT (ARC) port on the soundbar.
- The soundbar will automatically receive audio from your TV through the HDMI ARC connection.
2. Optical Connection:
- Connect one end of an optical cable to the optical output port on your TV and the other end to the optical input port on the soundbar.
- In your TV audio settings, make sure to select "external speakers" and disable the built-in TV speakers.
3. Analog Connection:
- If your TV does not have HDMI ARC or optical output, you can use an analog connection.
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX output on your TV and the other end to the AUX input on the soundbar.
- On the soundbar remote control, press the SOURCE button repeatedly until "AUX" is displayed on the soundbar's display panel.
Once you have made the appropriate connection, make sure to adjust the soundbar's volume using the remote control or the buttons on the soundbar itself. You can also choose different sound modes by pressing the SOUND button on the remote control.
