To program the Midland WR120B/WR120EZ weather alert radio to receive alerts for your specific location, follow these steps:
1. Set the ON/OFF switch located on the right side of the radio to the ON position.
2. Pull out the antenna and extend it to its full length.
3. Insert 3 AA batteries (not included) or plug the AC Adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the radio and the other end into a standard outlet.
4. Follow the prompts on the display screen using the up and down buttons to move through the options and the SELECT button to choose the desired option.
5. The radio will first display "WELCOME," and then "SET LANGUAGE." Press the SELECT button to set the language.
6. Choose your language by pressing the up or down button, then press SELECT.
7. To set your location, press the SELECT button. Press up or down until "SINGLE" is displayed, then press SELECT.
8. Press up or down to choose your country, state or province, and county or area, then press SELECT for each selection.
9. To set the time, press the SELECT button. Set the time using the up and down buttons, then press SELECT.
10. To set the channel, press the SELECT button. Tune the channel to the desired broadcast using the up and down buttons.
11. To set the volume, press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN buttons.
12. To complete the set-up, press the SELECT button.
Once you have programmed the radio with your specific location, it will receive alerts for your county. Make sure to keep the radio turned on and within range of the NOAA weather broadcast station to receive alerts.
