To change the batteries in your Honeywell Home T4R Wireless Programmable Thermostat, please follow these steps:
1. Remove the thermostat from the wall bracket or table stand.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermostat.
3. Remove the old batteries from the compartment.
4. Insert two new 1.5V LR6 AA Alkaline batteries into the compartment, ensuring the correct polarity.
5. Place the thermostat back onto the wall bracket or table stand.
Please note that the battery icon on the thermostat display will only appear when the battery power is low, indicating that the batteries need to be replaced soon. If the battery icon is flashing "+", it means that the battery power is critically low, and you should replace the batteries immediately to prevent any disruption to your heating system.
It is recommended to use new batteries that will last approximately 2 years, depending on the usage of the thermostat. After replacing the batteries, the thermostat should resume normal operation. Remember to dispose of the old batteries responsibly, following local regulations for battery recycling.
