Cleaning and descaling your Ninja DualBrew Coffee Maker is important to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the machine. Here are the steps to clean and descale the coffee maker, as per the user manual:
1. Cleaning the Coffee Maker:
- Turn off and unplug the coffee maker.
- Remove the brew basket, carafe, and any remaining coffee grounds.
- Wash the brew basket, carafe, and removable water reservoir in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- Reassemble the coffee maker and it is ready for use.
2. Descaling the Coffee Maker:
- Descaling is recommended every 3 months or as needed to remove mineral buildup.
- Prepare a descaling solution by mixing equal parts of white vinegar and water.
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution up to the Max Fill line.
- Place an empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the Clean button on the coffee maker and allow the solution to run through the machine.
- Once the solution has brewed, discard it and rinse the water reservoir thoroughly.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the Max Fill line.
- Run a brew cycle with clean water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
- Repeat the rinse cycle if necessary.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- Reassemble the coffee maker and it is ready for use.
