To adjust the temperature settings on your Maytag side-by-side refrigerator, follow these steps:
1. Locate the refrigerator and freezer controls on the dispenser panel.
2. Touch any control button on the dispenser panel to activate the display screen.
3. The home screen will appear, showing the current temperature settings.
4. To adjust the refrigerator temperature, press the "Refrigerator Temp" button. The current setpoint will be displayed.
5. Press the "Refrigerator Temp" button again to adjust the setpoint. Each press of the button will increase the setting by one bar, with a range of 1 bar (least cold) to 5 bars (coldest).
6. After 2 minutes of inactivity, any changes will be saved, and the display will return to the home screen.
7. To adjust the freezer temperature, follow the same steps as above but use the "Freezer Temp" button instead.
Note: It is recommended to wait 24 hours before putting food into the refrigerator to allow it to cool completely. If the temperature is too warm or too cold, check the air vents for blockage before adjusting the controls. Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments and recheck the temperatures before making further changes.
