Sure! Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set up the eufy E8453JW1 Garage Control Cam Plus with Sensor:
1. Connect the camera to a power outlet. If you want to use local storage, insert a memory card into the microSD card slot before powering the camera. (Note: Model T8453 includes one memory card.)
2. Download and install the eufy Security app on your smartphone or tablet. Sign up for an account if you don't have one.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to add the camera to your device list. Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera.
4. Mount the camera underneath the garage door opener or to the ceiling. For a garage door opener with a metal surface, you can magnetically attach the camera. If the garage door opener has a non-metal surface, use the provided 3M sticker to stick the mounting plate underneath the opener and then magnetically attach the camera to the plate. Alternatively, you can fix the mounting iron plate to the ceiling with the provided xxxx and then magnetically attach the camera to it.
5. Manually adjust the camera angle until you get the desired view through the eufy Security app.
6. Wiring the camera: Press and hold the orange tabs, then insert one end of the provided motor connection wire into the connectors. Each strand can connect to any connector. On the garage door opener, locate the terminals that wire to the wall control. Twist each wire strand to the motor connection wire, then connect the paired strands back to their original terminal. Make sure the paired strands are properly connected to their original terminal. If you haven't installed a wall control, refer to your garage door opener's user manual for wall control wiring instructions. Model T8453 can wire up to 2 garage doors, so repeat the steps above to wire the camera to the other garage door opener.
7. Pairing and mounting the sensor: Open the battery cover of the sensor and install the provided battery. In the eufy Security app, follow the on-screen instructions to pair the sensor with the camera. Select a location on your garage door to mount the sensor. For a roller door, mount the sensor at the end of the drum wheel spoke. For a sectional or tilt door, mount the sensor on the top of the door. Use the provided 3M sticker or screws to mount the sensor. Make sure the SYNC button on the sensor faces the same direction as the arrow on the battery cover. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to open the door for a test.
