Answer: According to the user manual, the filters for the Medify Air MA-40 Air Cleaner Purifier should be replaced at least once every six months or after 3,000 hours of use, whichever comes first. The filter replacement indicator on the unit will let you know when it is time to change the filters. When replacing the filters, make sure to unplug the unit, remove the back cover, remove the old filter, remove the plastic packaging from the new filter, install the new filter with the white side facing out, and then replace the back cover. After installing the new filter, you can reset the filter indicator light by holding down the FAN SPEED button and the IONIZER button at the same time for 3-5 seconds.
