To adjust the temperature settings on your KitchenAid KBSD702MPS refrigerator, follow these steps:
1. Locate the Temperature Control UI, which is located above the external dispenser on the freezer door.
2. Press the Refrigerator Temperature button once to decrease the temperature by 1 degree or press the Freezer Temperature button once to decrease the temperature by 1 degree.
3. Keep pressing the respective temperature button until you reach the desired temperature. The temperature range for the refrigerator is 36°F to 43°F (2°C to 6°C), with the default temperature being 37.4°F (3°C). The temperature range for the freezer is -9°F to -3°F (-23°C to -16°C), with the default temperature being -0.4°F (-18.0°C).
4. Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments to allow the refrigerator to stabilize at the new temperature.
5. Check the temperature after 24 hours and make further adjustments if necessary.
If you find that the refrigerator compartment is too cold, you can increase the temperature by pressing the Refrigerator Temperature button once to increase the temperature by 1 degree.
It's important to note that adjusting the temperature settings to a colder or warmer setting will not cool or warm the compartments any faster. Allow sufficient time for the temperature to stabilize after making adjustments.
If you continue to experience issues with the temperature, ensure that the air vents are not blocked and check for any factors such as high humidity or extreme temperatures in the surrounding environment that may affect the refrigerator's performance.
