To set up the TP-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender, you have several options:
1. Via the Tether App:
- Download the Tether app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Launch the app and log in with your TP-Link ID or create a new account.
- Tap the "+" button and select "Range Extender".
- Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
2. Via a Web Browser:
- Connect your computer or smartphone to the extender's network (TP-Link_Extender_2.4GHz or TP-Link_Extender_5GHz).
- Open a web browser and enter "http://tplinkrepeater.net" or "http://192.168.0.254".
- Create a password to log in and follow the web instructions to complete the setup.
3. Via the WPS Button:
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the extender for 1 second.
- The LED should change from blinking to solid on, indicating a successful connection.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 if the extender connects to a dual-band router.
After setting up the extender, you can relocate it halfway between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone for optimal signal coverage. Connect your devices to the extender wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable using the same password as your host router.
