To thread the Singer M3220 sewing machine, follow these steps:
1. Raise the presser foot lifter.
2. Place the thread spool on the horizontal spool pin and secure it with a spool cap.
3. Take the thread through the thread guide at the top of the machine.
4. Bring the thread down the right channel, around the U-turn, and up the left channel.
5. Hook the thread from back to front through the slotted eye of the thread take-up lever.
6. Pass the thread behind the metal thread guide and then down to the needle.
7. Thread the needle from front to back.
8. Pull about 6-8 inches of thread to the back beyond the needle eye.
For a visual guide, refer to the "Threading the Upper Thread" section in the Singer M3220 Sewing Machine User Manual.
