To clean the filter on the Dyson Cyclone V10 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, follow these steps:
1. Twist off the filter: Twist the filter anti-clockwise and pull it away from the machine.
2. Tap the filter: Before washing the filter, tap it gently over a bin to remove any loose dust and debris.
3. Wash the filter: Wash the filter with warm, running tap water. Gently rub the filter with your fingers to remove the dirt.
4. Fill and shake: Fill the filter with warm tap water and shake it firmly to remove trapped dirt and debris. Repeat these steps until the water runs clear.
5. Shake and dry: Empty the filter and shake it firmly to remove excess water. Keep shaking until there is no water coming from the filter. Place the filter on its end and leave it to dry for at least 24 hours in a well-ventilated, warm place.
Important: Make sure the filter is completely dry before putting it back into the machine. Using a damp filter could damage the machine.
