To fill the water tank on the Bissell Proheat Essential carpet cleaner, follow these steps:
1. Use the tank carry handle to remove the tank from the machine and bring it to the sink.
2. Pull up on the bottom edge of the latch on the tank to remove the lid.
3. Pull up on the bladder fill cover that says "Fill Here".
4. Fill the tank with warm tap water (maximum temperature of 140°F/60°C) up to the water fill line. Do not use boiling water or heat the water or tank in the microwave.
5. Fill the provided measuring cup with the appropriate Bissell cleaning formula up to the fill line.
6. Push down on the bladder fill cover to close it and pour the cleaning formula into the bladder.
7. Replace the tank lid and latch.
8. Place the tank back into the machine base and seat it firmly into place.
