Washing the filters on your Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum is an important maintenance task to ensure optimal performance. Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to wash the filters:
1. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger before removing the filters. Be careful not to pull the 'ON' trigger.
2. Your Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum has two washable filters: Filter A and Filter B. Start by removing Filter A. Lift it out of the top of the appliance.
3. Wash Filter A with cold water only. Run water over the outside of the filter until the water runs clear.
4. Squeeze and twist Filter A with both hands to remove excess water.
5. Leave Filter A to dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours. Do not put the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near a naked flame.
6. To refit Filter A, place the dry filter back into the top of the appliance. Make sure it is seated properly.
7. Now, let's move on to washing Filter B. To remove Filter B, twist it anti-clockwise to the open position and pull it away from the appliance.
8. Wash the inside of Filter B under cold running water, rotating the filter to ensure all pleats are covered.
9. Gently tap Filter B against the side of the sink several times to remove any debris.
10. Repeat this process 4-5 times until Filter B is clean.
11. Place Filter B upright, with the Max button facing upwards, and leave it to dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours.
12. To refit Filter B, return it to the open position and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.
By following these steps, you can effectively wash the filters on your Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum and maintain its performance. Remember to wash the filters at least once a month or more frequently if you vacuum fine dust or use the machine intensively.
