To connect the WD Easystore Portable Hard Drive to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your computer.
2. Connect one end of the USB 3.0 cable (included in the kit) to the USB 3.0 interface port on the WD Easystore Portable Hard Drive.
3. Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 cable to an available USB port on your computer.
4. Wait for your computer to recognize the WD Easystore Portable Hard Drive. It should appear in your computer's file management utility listing.
Note: If a "Found New Hardware" screen appears, click Cancel to close it. The WD software will install the proper driver for your drive.
Once the WD Easystore Portable Hard Drive is connected and recognized by your computer, you can start using it as an external storage device. If you want to enhance its capabilities, you can install the WD Discovery software that is included on the drive. The software provides features such as WD Backup and WD Drive Utilities.
