To set up your Honeywell TH8110R1008 Vision PRO 8000 Touch Screen Single Stage Thermostat, follow these steps:
1. Install the thermostat: Refer to the installation guide included with your thermostat for detailed instructions on how to properly install it.
2. Connect to the internet (optional): If you want to remotely monitor and control your heating/cooling system and receive alerts by email, you can connect the thermostat to the internet using the optional RedLINK Internet Gateway. Follow the instructions provided with the gateway to set up the connection.
3. Set the time and date: On the thermostat screen, touch the current time. The screen will display "Select Option." Touch "Time" or "Date," then touch "Select." Use the arrow buttons to adjust the time or date, then touch "Done" to save the changes.
4. Set the fan: On the thermostat screen, touch "FAN" to display fan settings. Choose from "On," "Auto," "Circ," or "Follow Schedule." "On" keeps the fan always on, "Auto" runs the fan only when the heating or cooling system is on, "Circ" runs the fan randomly about 35% of the time (residential use only), and "Follow Schedule" controls the fan based on the programmed schedule. Touch "Done" to save and exit.
5. Set the system mode: On the thermostat screen, touch "SYSTEM" to display system settings. Choose from "Heat," "Cool," "Off," "Auto," or "Em Heat" (heat pumps with auxiliary/emergency heat). "Heat" controls only the heating system, "Cool" controls only the cooling system, "Off" turns off the heating/cooling systems, "Auto" selects heating or cooling depending on the indoor temperature, and "Em Heat" controls auxiliary/emergency heat. Touch "Done" to save and exit.
6. Adjust the program schedules: On the thermostat screen, touch "MENU" and select "Edit Schedule." Follow the prompts to create a schedule by answering simple questions or manually create a program schedule. Use the arrow buttons to set the wake time, heat/cool temperatures, and other time periods. Touch "Done" to save and exit.
7. Override schedules: To temporarily override the programmed schedules, adjust the temperature on the right side of the screen and set the "Hold Until" time on the left side. The schedule will resume when the hold time expires. Touch "Permanent Hold" to keep the same temperature until you change it or resume the program schedule. Touch "Cancel Hold" to resume the program schedule at any time.
8. Customize preferences: On the thermostat screen, touch "MENU" and select "Preferences." Choose from various options such as reminders to change filters, Fahrenheit/Celsius display, 12/24-hour clock display, screen backlighting, alert light options, scheduling options, adaptive recovery, default schedule, and daylight saving time. Follow the prompts to customize your preferences and touch "Done" to save the settings.
