Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the Speed Queen commercial washer:
1. Position and level the dryer: Make sure the dryer is placed in the desired location and use a level to ensure it is level.
2. Connect the water inlet hose (for steam models): Turn off the water at the shut-off valve and disconnect the cold-water inlet hose from the water supply if the washing machine is connected. Insert a rubber washer into the Y-connector and install the Y-connector onto the cold-water supply. Insert a filter screen on the faucet end of the inlet hose with the screen facing the faucet and the rubber washer on the dryer end of the hose. Connect the filter screen end of the inlet hose to the Y-connector. Connect the rubber washer end of the inlet hose to the fill valve on the rear of the dryer. Finally, connect or reconnect the washer inlet hose to the other end of the Y-connector.
3. Connect the exhaust system: The dryer must be exhausted to the outdoors. Use a 4-inch rigid duct for the exhaust. The maximum straight duct length is 65 feet, deducting 10 feet for each elbow. Make sure to provide sufficient make-up air by ensuring the free area of any opening for outside air is at least 40 square inches per unit.
4. Gas models - connect the gas supply pipe: Gas service to a gas dryer must conform with local codes and ordinances. Tighten all connections securely but do not overtighten to avoid breaking or bending the gas valve bracket. Turn on the gas and check all pipe connections (internal and external) for gas leaks by applying a non-corrosive leak detection fluid to the fittings. Retighten connections and recheck for leaks.
5. Electric models - connect the electrical cord: Use a three-wire or four-wire plug according to the installation instructions. Wipe out the inside of the dryer, plug in the dryer, and start the dryer to check if it is heating.
