To change the string on your DEWALT String Trimmer, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power and remove the battery pack from the trimmer.
2. Locate the trimmer head, which is the part that holds the string.
3. Look for a xxxx or button on the trimmer head that allows you to access the spool.
4. Press the xxxx or button and remove the spool from the trimmer head.
5. Take out any remaining string from the spool.
6. Cut a length of replacement string according to the recommended size for your trimmer (usually around 0.080 inches).
7. Insert one end of the string into the hole or slot on the spool.
8. Wind the string around the spool in the direction indicated by the arrow on the spool. Make sure to wind it tightly and evenly.
9. Leave a small length of string unwound and insert it into the notch or hole on the trimmer head.
10. Reassemble the spool onto the trimmer head, making sure it is securely attached.
11. Reinstall the battery pack and turn on the power.
12. Test the trimmer to ensure the string is feeding properly.
