The free cloud plan included with the Wyze Cam V3 allows the camera to capture one 12-second alert video every five minutes when motion or sound is detected. These alert videos are stored in the cloud for 14 days. However, it's important to note that the free cloud plan has a cooldown period, which means that after an alert video is recorded, the camera will not record another alert video for a certain period of time. To have continuous recording and no cooldown period, you can use a microSD card with the 'record on event' or 'continuous recording' feature turned on. This will allow the camera to record the rest of the footage that the cloud video does not capture. Additionally, there is an add-on service called Cam Plus, which can be purchased separately. Cam Plus upgrades the free 12-second motion recording already included with the Wyze Cam V3. With Cam Plus, motion events are recorded and stored in the cloud for as long as motion is detected, and it also adds Person Detection.
