To manually clean the Braun Series 5 shaver, you have two options: cleaning under running water or cleaning with a brush. Here are the steps for each method:
1. Cleaning under running water:
- Switch on the shaver (cordless) and rinse the shaver head under hot running water until all residues have been removed.
- You may use liquid soap without abrasive substances for a more thorough clean.
- Rinse off all foam and let the shaver run for a few more seconds.
- After cleaning, switch off the shaver, press the release button to remove the Foil & Cutter cassette, and let it dry.
- If you regularly clean the shaver under water, apply a drop of light machine oil on top of the Foil & Cutter cassette once a week.
2. Cleaning with a brush:
- Switch off the shaver and remove the Foil & Cutter cassette.
- Tap the cassette out on a flat surface.
- Use the brush provided or a soft-bristled brush to clean the inner area of the pivoting head.
- Do not clean the cassette with the brush as this may damage it.
- Once cleaned, reassemble the shaver by inserting the Foil & Cutter cassette back into place.
