Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the GE portable air conditioner in a window:
1. Assemble the exhaust hose assembly by extending it approximately 4 inches from each end. xxxx the adapters onto the ends of the hose.
2. Mount the exhaust hose assembly to the back of the air conditioner by inserting the round adapter into the exhaust vent and turning it counter-clockwise to secure it.
3. Install the exhaust nozzle to the main window panel. Hold the main window panel with the L-shaped edges facing you and align the exhaust nozzle with the slots in the opening. Insert and slide the nozzle to access the hole from the back of the panel. Turn the panel over and secure the nozzle with a flat-tip xxxx .
4. Install the main window panel and extension panels into the window. Open the window and place the window kit assembly into the window. Adjust the panels according to the size of your window. For vinyl windows, skip to step 6. For wood windows, continue to step 5.
5. Place the two top window brackets and two bottom window brackets where they will best support the extension panels. Use pointed screws to attach the top bracket to the support panels. Apply the strip across the top and bottom front edge of the window panel assembly. Place the window panel assembly in the window and fasten it to the window sill and frame using the provided screws. Install the security bracket to prevent the window from being opened from the outside.
6. Once the air conditioner is installed in the window, plug it into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Make sure not to remove the ground prong or use an adapter or extension cord.
