Sure! Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install the DoHonest 1080P Backup Camera Kit in your vehicle:
1. Before beginning the installation, make sure to test the system to ensure all components are working properly. Connect the power cable to the monitor and the backup camera, and check if the display and camera are functioning correctly.
2. Determine the best installation position for the backup camera on your vehicle. It is recommended to install it close to the rear marker lights and centered on the vehicle. Remove the camera U-bracket, mark the hole position, drill the hole, and route the terminal wire of the camera through it. Install the xxxx to secure the backup camera in place.
3. Find the best installation position for the monitor on your vehicle's dashboard. Remove the screws around the monitor, place the U-bracket in the right position, and adjust the angle. Lock the bracket in place with screws and insert the monitor into the bracket.
4. Connect the cables. The red wire should be connected to the ignition hot (+) 12-32 volts, the black wire to the ground (-), and the green trigger wire to the backup light wire or backup beeper wire. This connection is necessary to activate the monitor when the vehicle is put into reverse.
5. Power the system using the circuit fuse. Connect the red wire (ACC+) to the fuse switch. Locate the car circuit fuse box under your car cab and find the corresponding power fuse according to the labels on the fuse hardwire. Connect the corresponding line to the power fuse (voltage must be between 12-32V).
6. Adjust the camera angle and monitor angle to ensure optimum viewing comfort for the driver.
