To set up the WAVLINK AC1200 Dual Band Wi-Fi Extender/AP, you can follow the steps outlined in the user guide provided. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Plug the extender into a power outlet.
2. Connection:
2.1 Via Wireless: Turn on your Wi-Fi and search for the SSID of the extender on your wireless devices. Connect to it.
2.2 Via Cable: Connect an Ethernet cable from your PC/laptop to the LAN port of the extender.
3. Launch a browser from your laptop/PC or smartphone and enter "wifi.wavlink.com" or "192.168.10.1" in the address field. The default password is "admin".
4. Select a language and set a new login password following the rules provided.
5. Mode selection:
5.1 Select "Repeater mode" to extend your existing Wi-Fi network. Choose an upstream router manually or automatically.
5.2 Select "AP mode" to turn the extender into an access point. You can keep the old SSID or create new ones and set up a password.
If you prefer, you can also set up the extender using the WPS button on your router and the extender. Refer to "Option II" in the user guide for detailed instructions.
