To connect Lorex security cameras to the DVR, follow these steps:
1. Test your cameras: Before selecting a permanent mounting location, temporarily connect the cameras and cables to your DVR to ensure they are working properly.
2. Connect the router: Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the DVR to your router. This is necessary for remote viewing and firmware updates.
3. Connect the mouse: Connect the included mouse to a USB port on the DVR for navigation and control.
4. Connect the monitor: Use the included HDMI cable or a VGA cable (not included) to connect the DVR to a monitor. Make sure the monitor supports the desired resolution.
5. Connect the power: Use the included power adapter to connect the DVR to a nearby outlet. Turn on the DVR using the power switch on the back panel.
6. Lorex Setup Wizard: When you power up the DVR for the first time, the Lorex Setup Wizard will guide you through the initial configuration and password setup.
